Architecture has never been simple, though it doesn’t always mean it is confusing. Architecture will always be personal, thus its subjectivity will address to it. The key cause of this complexity is the presence of meaning, which is also widely considered to be the difference between architecture and fabric. Architecture is a dimensioned quality of a building. Does it mean architecture has to be aesthetic? The answer is It Does. However, it must be emphasized that aesthetics doesn’t necessarily mean it’s pretty or beautiful. Aesthetic merely describes the facade with the presence of meaning in it. Intention in this meaning, is a construction of personal perceptions or a compiled agreement among a group of people. In an architectural context, this intention can be explored in two ways. Through a prolonged exploration, which is that the architectural process has never been singular or linear. Through the exterior of the building, where it can be disclosed via how the public appreciates a piece of architecture, then again never been singular or linear.
